Mt Difficulty Dry Riesling 2008
“Another delightful wine is the 2008 Mt Difficulty Dry Riesling. It is still very youthful, and needs three years to marry up. Bouquet is as subtle, fine and complex as good Mosel Kabinett, with linden blossom and subtlest acacia florals. Palate is not bone-dry, the sweetness in the pale limey fruit being about the same as many ‘dry’ Sauvignon Blancs, which is very neat. It is a gentler wine than the famous Clare Valley Grosset Riesling, but will in a few years make a wonderful comparison with it (and with the advantage of being half the price). Cellar 5 – 15 years.” – Geoff Kelly, WINENZ Autumn 2009 View Mt Difficulty Dry Riesling 2008
