Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir 2005
Geoff Kelly tasted a number of Mt Difficulty Pinots amongst hundreds of others at January's 2007 Pinot Conference in Wellington. This is what he had to say about the 2005 Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir:
“Ruby, some velvet. This wine just smells deliciously of red and black cherry Pinot, subtly oaked so that the rose and boronia florals show beautifully. There is an intriguing citrus lift too. Palate is fresh, plump, gorgeous crunchy black cherry fruit, not as big as some wines, yet more aromatic. This is lovely Pinot, and another Otago wine with a clear Cote de Nuits spice to it. Cellar 5-12 years.” 18.5/20 - 5 stars View Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir 2005
