Best Red Wine

Readers of M2 magazine, "The complete lifestyle magazine for the New Zealand man", have spent the last few months voting on their favourite things for 2007. We are delighted with the readers' choice, voting Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir 2006 as Best Red Wine of the Year.

"According to UK wine critic Tim Atkin, Burgundy has a thing or two to worry about. While they might have the name, it seems that we've got the grapes and we know what do do with them.

'For sheer consistency, one country is easing ahead of its rivals in the Pinot Noir stakes........ New Zealand is a much better bet than Burgundy' ........

One particular producer of Pinot Noir that Tom Atkin refers to is Mt Difficulty....."
