Arguably the best of Mt Difficulty’s single vineyard trio, Pipeclay Terrace ranks among the most heroic Pinot vineyards outside of Burgundy. Only released as a single vineyard wine when it is up to the exacting standards of maker Matt Dicey, in 2005 it lifted its own benchmark to an all new level. It exudes aromas and flavours of delicate violets and red and black berries, giving it a regency glamour reminiscent of Vosne-Romanee.
