Masterchef Judge Matt Preston visits Mt Difficulty

Internationally acclaimed and revered food critic Matt Preston visited the Mt Difficulty Cellar Door and Restuarant for lunch on Sunday 22 November.  Matt has written and reviewed for a number of Australia's most prestigious publications, and was visiting as Senior Editor of Delicious magazine.  He was named the World's Best Food Journalist in 2008 (World Food Media Awards) and was creative Director of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival for over five years.  More recently he (and his cravat) has become reknowned as a judge on Australian Masterchef.

Matt's article will be published in Delicious magazine in March.  He is pictured here enjoying a Mt Difficulty cheeseboard and Single Vineyard Pinot Noir with Chef Werner Hecht-Wendt and Cellar host Nicki McDonald.  Matt rated Werner’s signature slow roasted duck as “a hero” of a dish.
