Pinot Noir Celebration 2003
Twice before the Central Otago wineries have got together and held a two-three day celebration of Pinot Noir. The event is based around tasting a number of Central Otago Pinots along with some outstanding examples from key regions around the world. We have also had the pleasure of hosting key international 'Pinot People' such as Jim Clendening and Stephen Cary from the USA and Anthony Hansen from Christies of the UK, to help with panel tastings and comment on the wines. The next event will be in February 2003. As there is the New Zealand Pinot Noir conference again being held in Wellington in January 2004, it was decided to hold a smaller, more intimate event based more around the wineries of the region. Of course, there will be the continued focus around fine food from the local restaurants in support of the event.
