Sky Food Channel to screen "On A Plate"
The Sky Food Channel will begin screening the second series of New Zealand on a Plate on Mondays, from March 15, at 7.30 pm.
The episode screening on April 26 features chef Michael Coughlin in Central Otago. Much of the episode was filmed on the terrace at Mt Difficulty’s Cellar Door and Restaurant. Against the backdrop of the Cromwell basin Michael shares his passion for food with Winemaker Matt Dicey, Assistant Cellar Door Manager Emma Lawton and extreme sportsman Chuck Berry.
Michael Coughlin is well known for his acclaimed Dunedin restaurant, Bell Pepper Blues. Michael has also been named as a lifetime 'Platinum' Beef and Lamb Ambassador in recognition of his outstanding achievement in the Hallmark programme, having each been named as an Ambassador at least four times over the past 12 years.
On the show, Michael cooks:
- Twice cooked rabbit leg, tartlet of Portabello mushrooms and Kutash garlic paste, rocket & feta salad, wild walnut apricot sauce
- Char grilled Venison Cutlets, cumin & fennel rub, smoked garlic mashed potato puree, pinot & mint jelly reduction, char grilled summer vegetables & walnut & cherry relish
